Generosity, once you start, becomes its own habit. Ethics is the same. In my experience, the more generous and ethical we are, the more of both we become. These two ingredients lead us to the third one: tolerance. (The Chocolate Cake Sutra, Ingredients for a Sweet Life by Geri Larkin)
I am Brian Vaugh, sometimes called Rev. Brian Vaugh, or Rev. BanYa Sunim. I am currently the Vice Abbot and leader of the English speaking Sangha at the New Hartford Buddhist Temple.
From a eclectic religious and spiritual background I find Buddhism as it is being created and discovered in the United States a neutral medium to fill a spiritual vacume.
My role as leader is to encourage seekers to wake up to find they are already that which they seek.
Our meditation group meets at 6:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of every month .
