- Brian Vaugh
- I am Brian Vaugh, sometimes called Rev. Brian Vaugh, or Rev. BanYa Sunim. I am currently the Vice Abbot and leader of the English speaking Sangha at the New Hartford Buddhist Temple. From a eclectic religious and spiritual background I find Buddhism as it is being created and discovered in the United States a neutral medium to fill a spiritual vacume. My role as leader is to encourage seekers to wake up to find they are already that which they seek.

Hey, Brian, Harry Potter is not only like a Buddha.
Harry's constant death-like experience and subsequent resurrection at the end of each book is packed with CHristian symbolism.
Harry sacrifices himself out of love for his fellow man, just as Jesus Christ did.
